Once a domain is purchased, it needs to be pointed to the server that hosts the web site.
Usually, this is done by changing a domain's primary and secondary nameservers.
If you own your own domain, then you will need to point it to our servers:
Primary nameserver is: ns1.righthookmedia.net
Secondary nameserver is: ns2.righthookmedia.net
If we are securing a domain for you, no action on your part is necessary.
Once pointed, these changes need time to take effect across the internet. This is called domain propagation. This can happen at different times in different places. During propagation a domain may flip flop between seeming active and not. Most domains will propagate within 24 hours, but one should wait 72 hours before announcing the new domain to the world.
If a domain seems to be taking longer than 72 hours to propagate, please try clearing your browser's cache to see if this has an effect, as your browser may still be storing and displaying old results from it's own memory.
If BigBlackBag is purchasing a domain for you, the domain will usually go live within 3-4 business days.
