Despite what our competition may claim, there is no
infallible method of protecting your images. Right-mouse-clicks and
dragging and dropping images on the Mac can be prevented (and we do employ this method within your galleries and slideshows), however one
can simply take a screen capture (print screen) to steal a copy of your
image(s) at the exact same quality and resolution it is displayed at.
Flash websites are no better at protecting you from this. Any
experienced web user can also view your website's source code to steal
images as well. Embedded IPTC data does not afford much protection
either as it can be scrubbed from a file. The only true protection you
have is by watermarking your images as it makes using your images
impractical and therefore undesirable. If you are truly concerned about
image theft, then consider using our copyright symbol watermark feature
which positions the watermark in the center of your images so its
removal is next to impossible.
